Bill was a tool and die engineer by profession, but his hobby was cooking. Traveling to Chicago, he ate at all the top Italian restaurants building his taste and technique. But you'd never find him in the front of the house. No - Bill always used the back door and could be found in the kitchen hanging with the cooks.
Now a Vietnam vet, Bill Arnold began making Blues Hog BBQ Sauce in his kitchen. With just a pressure cooker, a 30 gallon kettle, and an aluminum pot that a restaurant no longer wanted, Bill went to work! "Pour it, tighten it, and have the fans to cool. You'd hear "Pop! Pop! Pop!" in the night. It was the jars sealing and I'd be smiling!", Bill said. When a neighbor's house burnt down, Bill offered his assistance and cooked a fundraiser to help the family in need. The next day, everyone wanted to know where Bill bought his sauce and he realized he was on to something.
